Presentation and artist talk
Welcome to an inspiring day of art, conversations and musical experiences that explore community, belonging and human encounters.
You will receive a presentation and tour at Nordnorsk kunstmuseum , with insights into the museum's work and current exhibitions. Among these is Melanie Bonajo's video installation When the Body Says Yes , which explores themes such as touch, consent and bodily autonomy in a sensual and inclusive form.
Also meet visual artist Kajsa Zetterquist and intendant Anja Kath Lande in an artist talk about how art can create connections across time, place and experience. Together they reflect on the role of art as a language that both challenges and unites, based on Zetterquist's extensive artistry and legacy in northern Norwegian cultural life.
The day will be rounded off with a short version of the musical experience Fyr Pháros . Here, traditions from Greece and Norway meet in an atmospheric concert with Celtic harp, bandoneon, tarhu and violin. The music conveys stories of light, coast and belonging – and creates a space for peace and reflection in the middle of the symposium.
